Let's get to know each other: 40 quick fire questions

Now because This Ruth is on Fire is still very much in it's infancy in it's journey into the blogging world I thought that I would do a little 'let's get to know each other' type entry, kind of like speed dating but without the complimentary drinks or awkward social exchanges, because my favourite kind of blogs are the ones where I feel like I get to know the voice behind the blog a little bit more.

So here goes...

1. What was your favourite food when you were a child?
Mum's roast dinner...still is
2. What’s the #1 most played song on your iPod?
Most likely some Fleetwood Mac, Ben Howard or whatever is on my current gym playlist- Steve Aoki seems to get me pretty pumped (for the first 5 minutes on the treadmill and then the pain begins)
3. What is one of your favourite quotes?
I am unsure who it is by but I saw it on Pinterest and it goes something like: "A year from now you will have wished you had started today". One of my biggest fears is looking back on my time on this planet with regret for not taking chances when they were for the taking.
4. What’s your favourite indoor/outdoor activity?
Indoor: Reading & internet based things (blogs/ vlogs)
Outdoor: Country walks, beach times whether its surfing at sandy beaches or eating fish & chips on the stones- as long as I see the sea I'm loving it and finally snowboarding (ideally on a blue bird day but right now I'd take a whiteout with day old slush).
5. What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Getting the hoover out, bleugh, it's so much effort
6. What is your favourite form of exercise?
I go hard on the rowing machine at the gym otherwise a good long hike up a hill will do me fine (alright snore off Ruth)
7. What is your favourite time of day/day of the week/month of the year?
Favourite time of day is a Saturday morning when you wake up in a panic that your alarm hasn't gone off and then you have that sweet sweet moment when you realise its the weekend (similarly if there was a 'worst time of the day' option it would be what I just spoke about but in reverse in which you fling yourself from your warm bed going 'shit shit shit I'm going to be late for work'). Favourite month of the year is July just because its slap bang right in the middle of summer.
8. What’s your least favourite mode of transportation?
The bus, more specifically the night bus in London, it's an experience alright.

Boobies I mean the brain

I'm gonna sit on the fence and not answer this one because I think life should always be changing, improving and growing so I would never want to stay the same age (ask me that when I'm older however and I'm desperately longing for the days of yester year)
14. If you knew the world was ending, what would you do differently?
I'd have put the time aside whilst on earth to learn how to launch myself to the moon to live there with The Clangers
