Winkleman's Wonderful Wardrobe.

I absolutely love 'The Great British Sewing Bee', it's my favourite of those 'Great British <insert crafty activity here>' type shows and I always feel the urge to pick up a bobbin (is that correct?!) and a template and make something for myself to wear.

That is until they get all panicky and sweaty and start cursing at the mannequins and have minor breakdowns on TV and then I am happy to watch other people sew instead.

What I really like about the show is the host and more specifically her style. Away from the glitz and glamour of 'Strictly Come Dancing' where she's all about the sequinned dresses and big hair, Claudia seems to have adopted a much more laid back wardrobe on the Sewing Bee, which obviously suits the nature of the show a bit more, and she is all about the oversized men's shirts and blazers, black skinny jeans and ankle boots or brogues.
I like that the shirts have quirky little touches such as oversized cuffs and collars or panels of colour down the middle and although her look is rather androgynous, she keeps slight feminine touches with the dark painted nails and heavily kohled eyes that have become synonymous with her 'look'.
She just looks so darn comfy and relaxed in her clothing which is something that is a major must for myself. If I'm uncomfortable in an outfit it really shows, usually by the scowl on my face or the profanities flying out of my mouth, and I hate feeling restricted in any way which is why baggy tops and comfy shoes are essential.

I'm actually falling behind on the show so after writing this I'm going to get into my pjs, jump into my bed and catch up on iPlayer.
PS: Lorna to win woooooooooooooo

    1. It really does! I'm so jealous. Couldn't be further away from the frizzy, blonde hair that I've been blessed with :-/ X
